Distributive Impact of Czech Social Security and Tax Systems in Early 2000`s

In this paper, we analyze the Czech social and tax systems and their impact on income distribution. We use regular household surveys, organized and published by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO), for years 1999-2002. This longer time span allows us to identify some trends in the Czech social security system and their impact on well-being of various income groups. We find that while the total cost of the Czech social security system were not escalating in the period of 1999-2002, the illness benefit – already the largest spending program – rose by enormous 72% in these four years. This largesse failed, however, to improve income of the poorest households as the benefit is very inefficient in increasing income of the poorest households. We also find that spending on more focused programs (social supplement and parental allowance) rose the least. Last but not least, we analyzed the impact of tax deductions on the income distribution in the Czech Republic. These deductions represent a massive transfer, comparable to all social benefits combined. Our analysis shows, that the impact of tax deductions on income of the poorest decile fell significantly over the period of 1999-2002.public budgets; social policy; income distribution

The Mapping Survey of the Alinkov Homestead surroundings

Cílem této bakalářské práce je tachymetrické zaměření a vyhotovení účelové mapy v lokalitě kulturní památky dvora Alinkov. V první části této práce jsou popsány přípravné práce a měření v terénu. Druhá část je věnována zpracování naměřených dat a tvorbě účelové mapy. Výstupem této bakalářské práce je účelová mapa v měřítku 1:500, která by měla sloužit pro potřeby Národního památkového ústavu v Brně.The aim of the bachelor thesis is the tacheometric surveying and creation of a thematic map. The discussed area is the Alinkov farmstead cultural heritage. In the first part of this thesis is the preparation as well as field measurement described. The second part concerns the measured data and the thematic map is created. The result of this thesis is a 1: 500 scale thematic map. The map can be used for the purposes of The National Heritage Institute in Brno.

PtMP Connection Analysis using NV2 protocol

Tato práce se zabývá doposud málo zdokumentovaným využitím protokolu NV2 v PtMP sítích 802.11 a/n na platformě Mikrotik a zkoumá, jakým způsobem lze docílit nejefektivnějšího využití rádiového spektra. V teoretické části práce je popsán protokol NV2 a rozebrán princip jeho komunikace. Je provedeno srovnání s klasickou sítí 802.11 a/n a také s často využívaným protokolem Nstreme. Dále se věnuje platformě Mikrotik a jejímu operačnímu systému RouterOS. Práce ukazuje konkrétní způsoby konfigurace těchto zařízení a popisuje stěžejní parametry nastavitelné u jednotlivých protokolů. V praktické části je sestavena testovací PtMP síť a provedena série testů ve venkovním nezarušeném prostředí. Je provedeno srovnání, jakým způsobem reagují jednotlivé protokoly na situace, ke kterým dochází v reálném provozu. Autor na základě provedených testů ukazuje, že protokol NV2 ve většině případů přináší zlepšení výkonnosti a za popsaných okolností může být dobrou investicí při potenciální inovaci sítě.The purpose of this study is to investigate the so far scarcely documented effects of the protocol NV2 in the PtMP networks 802.11 a/n and in the Mikrotik platform in order to identify the most efficient exploitation of the radio spectrum. In a detailed theoretical section, the theses describes the protocol NV2 including its communication principle and makes a comparison with both the classical network 802.11 a/n and a frequently used protocol Nstreme. Then the detailed explanation on the platform Mikrotik as well as related operational system RouterOS is provided. Furthermore, the present study draws on the number of different configurations and key parameters which can be set for each of the protocols. In the practical section, a testing network PtMP was built up in the un-interfered outdoor environment with the aim to compare how the different protocols respond to the real life conditions. Based on the results of the tests the author concludes that protocol NV2 is in most of the cases well suited to improve performance and therefore can represent a good investment to a potential innovation of the network under the described circumstances.440 - Katedra telekomunikační technikyvelmi dobř

Steam turbine start-up

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou najíždění parních turbín. V první části práce jsou obecně popsány základní postupy a principy najíždění. Ve druhé části se práce zabývá obecným popisem tepelného namáhání rotorové a statorové části. Je zde také popsán zjednodušený výpočet rychlosti najíždění a přípustné teplotní diference. V poslední části je proveden výpočet součinitele přestupu tepla pomocí inverzní analytické metody a jsou zde porovnány modelové a naměřené hodnoty tepelného namáhání.This bachelor thesis focuses on steam turbine start-up process. The first part of this thesis describes in general terms the basic practices and principles of start-up. The second part deals with the general description of thermal stress on the rotor and stator part. There is also simplified calculation of start-up duration and admissible temperature difference. The last part is a calculation of heat transfer coefficient using inverse heat transfer analysis. There is a comparison of models and measurement data of thermal stress.

Czech Social Security and Tax System and Their Impact on the Income Distribution

Paper analyzes the Czech social security and tax system as their redistribution aspects are concerned. On a basis of individual data, authors find that social security programs are usually properly targeted but that the tax breaks favor richer households. A microanalysis of tax expenditures is carried out as these expenditures are allocated to different households according to their social and demographic characteristics. Authors also analyze budgetary costs of individual programs and construct a measure of their efficiency.social security; taxation; public budgets; poverty

Oxygen detection using gas sensor

V této diplomové práci jsou stručně popsány různé typy senzorů plynů, jejich charakteristiky, principy funkce, aktivní vrstvy a konstrukce. Práce je zaměřena především na polovodičové senzory plynů. V experimentální časti je pak použita testovací stanice k měření základních charakteristik komerčního senzoru Figaro TGS 822 a vlastního SnO2 senzoru a jejich reakcí na přítomnost kyslíku. Oba senzory a výsledky měření jsou následně vzájemně porovnány.In this master´s thesis various types of gas sensors, their characteristics, principle, active layer and structure are described. This work is focused on semiconductor gas sensors. In the experimental part gas test station is used to measure the main characteristic of commercial sensor Figaro TGS 822 and own SnO2 gas sensors and reaction to oxygen. Both sensors and measurement results are compared with each other.

Comparison of criteria for selection of rowers for senior national rowing teams in the Czech Republic and other countries

Abstract Title: Comparison of criteria for selection of rowers for senior national rowing teams in the Czech Republic and other countries Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create an inspirational resource for rowing coaches based on the analysis and comparison of nomination criteria for the selection of rowers for national teams in the Czech Republic and other countries in senior categories. Methods: The thesis is structured as an overview study, using the methods of content analysis and comparison. The aim is to synthesize existing data in order to make the information more comprehensive. We have set ergometer tests (land tests) and water tests as the parameters of observation, which are required for nomination to the national teams of U23 and senior national teams of the selected countries. Results: The study showed the difference in nomination criteria for senior national teams of the selected countries. It was found that in the selected countries that were compared, elite rowers in the U23 and senior categories can be nominated to the national teams primarily on the basis of the 2000 metres or 6000 metres ergometer tests or water tests. Metody: Práce je strukturována jako přehledová studie, která využívá metody obsahové analýzy a metody komparace. Úkolem je syntetizovat již existující data tak, aby informace byli komplexnější. Za parametry sledování jsme si stanovili testy na trenažéru (testy na souši) a testy na vodě, které jsou potřebné pro nominaci do družstev národních reprezentací U23 a seniory vybraných zemí. Výsledky: Studie ukázala odlišnost nominačních kritérií pro seniorské reprezentační družstva vybraných zemí. Bylo zjištěno, že ve vybraných zemích, které byly porovnávány, se elitní veslaři kategorie U23 a seniorů mohou nominovat do reprezentačních družstev primárně na základě testů na 2000 metrů, nebo 6000 metrů na trenažéru či vodě. Závěry: Praktická využitelnost této práce je ucelení a sjednocení nominačních kritérií jednotlivých zemí pro výběr do seniorských reprezentačních týmů s následným porovnáním mezi sebou.
